If your mic is not transmitting any sound please test the following. Parts 3 and 4 are Windows specific.
1) Test the mic in both omni and uni modes, the switch is located on the tip of the microphone.
2) Test the mic and/or receiver in a different USB port. For the ModMic Wireless, please test both with and without the included extension cable.
3) Check your windows volume settings under Sound Settings -> Sound Control Panel -> Recording tab.
Be sure your ModMic is set to Default Device and Default Communication Device by right clicking and selecting the appropriate options. Note: If it is already set this way the device will have a green checkmark and both options will not be visible
If the mic is already your default device click on Properties.
Navigate to the levels tab and make sure the volume is set to 100% and the speaker icon on the right is blue without a red symbol as seen below:
If the icon has a red 🚫 like this: click the speaker icon.
4) Check your microphone privacy settings by going to Sound Control Panel -> Microphone Privacy Settings. Ensure that the following three items are enabled:
- Microphone access is on
- Allow apps to access the microphone is on
- The app you are trying to use your microphone with is set to on in the list below.
5) If none of these changes work, test your microphone on a different device if you have access to one, such as a laptop, PlayStation, or other compatible device.
If your microphone is still not working as expected please contact our support team at CustomerService@AntlionAudio.com for additional assistance. Include your proof of purchase for any warranty related claims and as much detail as possible as to the result of your test.
