If your mic is not transmitting any sound please test the following. Parts 3 and 4 are Windows specific.
1) Test the mic in both omni and uni modes, the switch is located on the tip of the microphone.
2) Test the mic / receiver in a different USB port. For the ModMic Wireless, please test both with and without the included extension cable.
3) Check your windows volume settings under Sound Settings -> Sound Control Panel -> Recording tab. Right click on the microphone you need to check and select Properties.
Navigate to the levels tab and make sure the volume is set to 100% and the speaker icon on the right is blue without a red symbol as seen below:
If the icon has a red 🚫 like this: click the speaker icon.
4) Check your microphone privacy settings by going to Sound Control Panel -> Microphone Privacy Settings. Ensure that the following three items are enabled:
- Microphone access is on
- Allow apps to access the microphone is on
- The app you are trying to use your microphone with is set to on in the list below.
5) If none of these changes work, test your microphone on a different device if you have access to one, such as a laptop, PlayStation, or other compatible device.
If your microphone is still not working as expected please contact our support team at CustomerService@AntlionAudio.com for additional assistance. Include your proof of purchase for any warranty related claims and as much detail as possible as to the result of your test.
